We’re currently seeking a Cybersecurity Outreach Support Trainer to support our team in Washington D.C. (3 days on site)

 

Position Summary 

This is a full time employment opportunity. The Support Trainer will involve developing, managing, and executing cybersecurity awareness training initiatives across the customer's environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at conceptualizing and developing strategic marketing, communications, and outreach materials to key stakeholders and customer staff.

 

What you'll do

  • Create marketing, communications, and outreach materials across multiple formats including print and digital.
  • Analyze current communications across Cybersecurity and provide a structured communications plan to guide the messaging strategy. Update and manage the overall plan with outlined goals for reaching our target audiences.
  • Coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups to understand Cybersecurity’s mission elements and provide targeted communications and outreach materials that meet their various needs.
  • Coordinate and support small- to large-scale outreach and awareness events.
  • Manage and update the customer facing Cybersecurity portal (intranet), including content development and design/structure of the portal.
  • Provide original written and visual content for marketing material.
  • Support cybersecurity awareness and training metrics reporting for senior leadership.
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Support transition activities, as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical subject matter experts and translate that information seamlessly to non-technical employees and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability effectively collaborate with technical team members, senior staff and management (this role requires interaction across the enterprise and regular interface with people at all organization levels).
  • Self-starter; adaptable to change; motivated to set personal and program goals and pro-actively track performance against goals and initiatives.
  • Demonstrative experience with interactive training and/or workshop experience with government policy and/or cybersecurity.

 

Education 

At minimum, a completed Asssociate's degree from an accredited university in a related field is required. 

 

Clearance / Suitability 

The ability to obtain a Clearance or a Public Trust is preferred. However all clearance levels and non-cleared applicants will also be considered.

 

Certifications 
A current Security+ certification is preferred, but not required.

 

Years of Experience 

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Cybersecurity communications and outreach.

 

Bonus Points

  • Understanding of current technology and cybersecurity trends is desirable.
  • A completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a IT related field is preferred. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
