We’re currently seeking a Sales Support Team Member to join our growing CMMC Sales team.

 

 

Position Summary 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven Sales Support Team Member to join our growing CMMC sales team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Salesforce, can assist with gathering and reporting sales data for executive-level decision-making, and will have the capability to support discussions around sales opportunities with potential clients. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth sales operations, driving effective sales strategies, and maintaining accurate tracking and reporting of sales performance. 

 

Location Details

This is a full time remote position (must be located in the United States).

Our clientele is largely in the government space, primarily around the Northern Virginia / Washington, D.C. / Maryland areas

 

 

What you'll do

  • Salesforce Management: 
    • Utilize Salesforce to extract and manage sales data. 
    • Ensure that all relevant sales activities and opportunities are accurately entered and updated in Salesforce. 
    • Provide training and support for the sales team in Salesforce usage and best practices. 

  • Sales Data Gathering: 
    • Collect and aggregate sales data from multiple sources to prepare regular and ad-hoc reports. 
    • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of sales data and collaborate with the sales team to resolve any discrepancies. 
    • Analyze sales data trends to identify areas for improvement and assist the sales leadership team with strategic insights. 

  • Executive Reporting: 
    • Assist in the preparation of executive-level sales reports by compiling relevant data and presenting it in an organized and actionable format. 
    • Provide support in forecasting, tracking sales KPIs, and conducting performance analysis for senior leadership. 
    • Prepare and maintain dashboards in Salesforce for real-time performance tracking. 

  • Sales Opportunity Discussions: 
    • Support discussions and strategy sessions around current and upcoming CMMC sales opportunities with the sales team. 
    • Collaborate with account executives to identify high-priority opportunities and ensure alignment on next steps. 
    • Support in analyzing sales opportunities and presenting them to senior leadership, ensuring that key details, risks, and forecasts are clearly communicated. 

  • Collaboration: 
    • Work closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless coordination between departments. 
    • Assist in coordinating and supporting various sales initiatives and projects. 

  • Other Administrative Support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the sales team, such as scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing documentation.

What you'll bring

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong ability to gather, analyze, and present sales data. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)  
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to facilitate productive discussions with the sales team. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. 

Communication

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Ability to communicate complex data and sales opportunities in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
    • Confidence in leading discussions, presenting sales opportunities, and guiding teams toward actionable outcomes. 

Education 

Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in an IT related field.

 

Clearance / Suitability 

Ability to obtain a clearance or a Public Trust is preferred, however a clearance is not required for this position.

 

Certifications 
CMMC CCP or CCA certification is a plus

 

Years of Experience 

    • 4-6 years of experience in sales support, sales operations, or a related field. 
    • Strong proficiency in Salesforce; experience with Salesforce reporting and dashboards is a plus. 
    • Understanding of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) advisory and assessment engagement scope and purpose. 
    • Experience in leading or facilitating discussions around sales opportunities or similar collaborative team environments. 

 

Bonus Points - Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with additional CRM systems or reporting tools is a plus. 
    • Knowledge of sales processes, KPIs, and performance tracking. 
    • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization is a plus.
